The partnership creates a formal pathway for UAFS students seeking admission to ACHE’s Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine, School of Physical Therapy, School of Occupational Therapy, and Master of Science in Biomedicine program.
“Our students are not just learning anatomy, they are contributing to scientific discoveries that connect human movement today with stories written in the bones of the past.”
The M.A.P. Program has expanded to include college students interested in becoming Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) at ARCOM. This growth supports ACHE’s mission to build a more inclusive, compassionate healthcare workforce while helping reduce health disparities in the communities that need it most.
From hands-on healthcare simulations to culinary explorations, ceramics, and innovative STEAM activities, ACHE became a space where students felt empowered and reminded that they belong here, with a future full of possibilities.
Twelve ARCOM students volunteered each day, not only guiding the activities but also serving as role models and mentors. Programs like this aim to inspire these young students early.
The award honors exceptional institutional programs that encourage and support the recruitment and retention of women and underrepresented students in all STEM fields.
