Office of Diversity

At the Arkansas Colleges of Health Education, we strive to change healthcare in Arkansas and beyond. As we fulfill our mission to educate and train a diverse group of highly competent and compassionate healthcare professionals, we do so with an understanding of the importance of creating belonging. Creating a campus community where all students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members belong and thrive is vital to our holistic efforts of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

In creating such an environment, it is imperative to define diversity, equity, and inclusion:

Diversity represents the evident and unseen dimensions of our respective identities.

Equity creates an environment of fair access, opportunity, and advancement for all students, faculty, and staff.

Inclusion is the intentional practicing of institutional operations and cultural norms which promote a high sense of belongingness for all individuals within ACHE.

Our efforts are dedicated to serving as a bridge to oneness and fairness, not to division or resentment. As we pursue the achievable task of embracing and enhancing the diversity and inclusiveness of the ACHE community through campus-wide initiatives and professional development trainings, we acknowledge our respective paths as individuals while fixated on our journey together for a healthier Arkansas.

ACHE, All In.
