
Allan Marshall, M. Ed.
Allan R. Marshall, M.Ed. has spent 16 years as a fundraising and advancement professional at nonprofit organizations and higher education institutions. He graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and minors in public relations and religion, and he obtained a Masters of Education degree from Dallas Baptist University. Upon his graduation from Baylor, Allan worked in Waco as director of community development for the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce. Plus, Allan served in subsequent roles at Baylor University, Trinity University, and South Texas College of Law Houston: he managed major and planned giving teams, developed annual giving and legacy programs, provided leadership for comprehensive fundraising campaigns, led corporate and foundation strategies, and engaged alumni. A career achievement for Marshall was working for the Bush presidential family, he served as Chief Development Officer for the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation where he raised money for literacy programs. An East Texas native from Cuney, Texas, Allan has served as a congressional, legislative and city intern for a former U.S. Congressman, Texas State Representative, and a Dallas City Councilman. As a student at Baylor University, he served as the student body external vice president - he was the second minority student to do so in Baylor’s history.
