
Steven Johnson, DMSc, PA-C
Steven Johnson is Assistant Professor in the School of Physician Assistant Studies. Steven is a certified physician assistant, trained at the Medical University of South Carolina, and has a doctorate in medical science from the University of Lynchburg. He currently works in urgent care and prior to that, worked in orthopedic surgery in Northwest Arkansas for 10 years. He trained as an Emergency Medical Technician in Arizona and volunteered on medical missions in Nicaragua and in Africa. Before his medical training, Steven served in the Air Force, where he received an Air Force Commendation Medal for exemplary aerial port operations and an Air Force Achievement Medal for exemplary service in Iraq. Steven is an active volunteer with the Washington County Search & Rescue K9 Team. He and his wife Brooke, a Registered Nurse, have three children. He likes to fish, camp, and follow Razorback sports.
