Caitlin Yoakum, PhD

Caitlin Yoakum is an Assistant Professor of Anatomy who works with first year DO and MSB students to expand their knowledge of human anatomy. Dr. Yoakum believes that understanding human anatomy and the body as a series of units - rather than individual pieces - is key to understanding medicine and creating better physicians. Her research has focused on primate anatomy, specifically that of the feeding system and its integral nervous and musculature components. Dr. Yoakum holds a PhD in Biological Anthropology from the University of Arkansas.
