Rex grew up and attended school in Alma, Arkansas. His past positions include serving as a Police Officer for the Arkansas Department of Transportation Highway Police, working as a contract guard for the US Marshalls Service Western District of Arkansas, and serving as a police officer for the Alma Police Department. Rex is experienced as a witness in District, Circuit, and Federal Court. He also worked in the Crawford County banking industry from 1985 to 2010, where his past positions/duties included:

  • Senior Vice President over lending and bank operations
  • Board of directors’ secretary
  • IT, facilities, security/compliance programs, audit, and governmental reporting manager
  • Data processing conversion selection and team lead
  • Multi-million-dollar loan portfolio manager
  • Collections, legal, special asset, and problem loan management

Rex resides in Alma with his wife, Jennifer, who is a retired teacher of 33 years for Alma schools. His son is a Fayetteville, AR police officer. His daughter, son-in-law, and three granddaughters reside in Fayetteville.
