Laura Wyerick, M. Ed.

Laura Wyerick, Director of Program Development & Evaluation comes from Little Rock, Arkansas and looks forward to making roots in the River Valley. Laura earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Texas Christian University and a Masters Degree in Education for Rehabilitation Counseling from The University of Texas at Austin. After moving back to Arkansas, she was the Annual Programs Coordinator at ACCESS Group Inc. in Little Rock serving individuals with special needs and their families. During her eight years at ACCESS, Laura developed the volunteer program, expanded the annual giving campaigns, worked with programming to develop and coordinate annual programs and events, established the planned giving program, and helped launch Project SEARCH Arkansas: ACCESS Initiative, a vocational program now serving young adults with developmental disabilities across the state. She continues to support the ACCESS initiative, as well as the Fort Smith community, as a member of the Business Advisory Council for Mercy Fort Smith Project SEARCH.

Laura believes in the power of community and the importance of its support in developing resources for its members to grow and prosper in all aspects of their lives. She looks forward to helping further the growth of the Arkansas College of Health Education and the ACHE Family. Laura and her husband, Patrick, have a daughter, Carson Ann.
