Janie was born and raised in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She attended the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith on a volleyball scholarship where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Janie worked in emergency communications as a Communications Training Officer for the Crawford County Sherriff’s Department and Fort Smith Police Department before finding her passion in higher education. Janie gained experience working in Admissions and Academic Advising at UAFS before joining the ACHE family. She enjoys spending time with her niece Kylee and nephew Brody and loves playing volleyball in local competitive leagues.
