Sonya Lemke is a health sciences librarian at the Taylor Health Sciences Library of the Arkansas Colleges of Health Education. She believes reading is fundamental and knowledge is power. Since 2019, she has been working at the library, helping to develop it, and supporting the College of Health Sciences in its development of library resources. Sonya is a certified ophthalmic assistant with years of experience and knowledge in the healthcare industry, which blends well with her work at the health sciences library. She holds a master’s in library science from the University of North Texas and is currently studying for her doctorate in the education of health professions through A.T. Still University.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband in nature, reading, photography, hiking, traveling, exploring new restaurants, movie watching and being with her family and friends.
