Fort Smith, AR — The Arkansas Colleges of Health Education (ACHE) welcomed community members, artists, and guests on Thursday evening (April 9) for the “Spring Art Exhibition: A Celebration of Choctaw Art and Culture” reception at the ACHE Research Institute Health & Wellness Center (RIHWC).
Attendees gathered in the Brenda and Anthony Altman Gallery to experience a vibrant collection of more than 70 works created by Choctaw artists. The exhibition, presented in collaboration with Choctaw Nation Public Arts, showcases both traditional and contemporary pieces that reflect the rich heritage, storytelling, and artistic expression of Choctaw culture.
The evening provided an opportunity for guests to connect with the artwork in a meaningful way while celebrating the collaboration between ACHE and the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. The event featured refreshments, conversation, and an engaging cultural experience for all who attended.
For those who were unable to attend the reception, the exhibition will remain open to the public through May 22 (weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) in the Brenda and Anthony Altman Gallery at the ACHE Research Institute Health & Wellness Center. Visitors are encouraged to stop by and experience the collection, which highlights the voices and creativity of Choctaw artists.
