Interim President’s Welcome

Jo Alice Blondin, PhD

Interim President of Arkansas Colleges of Health Education

To Serve the Underserved and Promote a Healthier Arkansas

On behalf of the Arkansas Colleges of Health Education (ACHE), it is my honor and privilege to welcome you to our institution. Whether you are joining us as a student, employee, partner, or visitor, we are grateful you are here and invite you to share in our vision of advancing healthcare and improving quality of life throughout Arkansas and beyond.

Since our founding in 2014, ACHE has grown from a bold vision into a thriving academic institution spanning 542 acres in Fort Smith and Barling. Today, ACHE offers eight graduate and professional degree programs: Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Doctor of Occupational Therapy, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Doctor of Medical Science, Doctor of Executive Leadership, Doctor of Public Health, Master of Science in Biomedicine, and Master of Public Health. We are also excited to continue expanding our academic offerings with a Physician Associate program planned for 2028.

Our commitment extends far beyond the classroom. Through the ACHE Research Institute Health & Wellness Center, students, faculty, and community members have access to innovative research facilities, wellness programming, artistic and cultural experiences, and opportunities that promote healthier lives. The Village at Heritage and Celebration Garden and Wellness Park further reflect our belief that education, wellness, and community are inseparable.

At ACHE, we are preparing compassionate healthcare professionals, innovative researchers, and visionary leaders who will shape the future of healthcare while serving the communities that need them most. Every program, partnership, and initiative is guided by our commitment to excellence, service, and improving lives.

We invite you to join us as we continue building a healthier future together.

 Sincerely,

Jo Alice Blondin, PhD
