In celebration of National Public Health Week, the Arkansas Colleges of Health Education (ACHE) Master of Public Health (MPH) program hosted a lecture series featuring several experts from across the nation. 2026 marks the 31st anniversary of National Public Health Week, and this year’s theme was “Ready, Set, Action.”

The guest speaker lineup included:

  • Mike McGinn, JD, BA (Topic — Transportation and Land Use in Public Health. An Overview of the Connection Between Street Design, Land Use Decisions, and Health Outcomes)
  • Travis Kaufman, DMSc, PA-C, FIBODM (Topic — Mental Health as a Public Health Crisis: Understanding the Scope, the Vulnerable and the Path Forward)
  • Matthew Wellington (Topic — Coordination is Power: The Healthy States Collaborative)
