FORT SMITH, AR — The Arkansas Colleges of Health Education (ACHE) and Hendrix College have signed an affiliation agreement that creates new pathways for Hendrix students pursuing advanced degrees in healthcare.

Through this agreement, qualified Hendrix students will have opportunities to participate in ACHE’s Early Assurance and Guaranteed Interview programs for admission into the Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine (ARCOM), the Master of Science in Biomedicine (MSB) program, and ACHE’s Occupational Therapy (OT) and Physical Therapy (PT) programs.

Students who meet program-specific academic requirements and are recommended by Hendrix College may be considered for Early Assurance as early as their junior year or within two years of graduation. Accepted applicants will be guaranteed either placement or an interview, depending on the program, provided they continue to meet academic and professional standards.

“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to supporting students who want to serve their communities through healthcare,” said Christopher Smith, Ed.D., ACHE Assistant Provost. “By working with institutions like Hendrix College, we are not only opening doors for students but also helping build a stronger healthcare workforce for Arkansas and beyond.”

This collaboration reflects ACHE’s mission to shape the future of healthcare in Arkansas by partnering with institutions like Hendrix College to expand educational opportunities and strengthen the healthcare workforce across the state.
