Dr. Tracey Zeiner has been a practicing occupational therapist since 1991. She has worked in a variety of settings with the majority of her experience in geriatrics. Dr. Zeiner believes clients thrive in their own environments and enjoys working with clients in their home. She is also interested in animal assisted therapy and has received training as a facility dog handler, as well as training in hippotherapy. As Academic Fieldwork Coordinator, she partners with students, practitioners, and mentors, to ensure the relationship is mutually beneficial for teaching, learning and treatment. She was an active fieldwork educator for over 20 years and joined academia in 2016. She holds a clinical doctorate in occupational therapy from Quinnipiac University.
