The Arkansas Colleges of Health Education received a recommendation by the Fort Chaffee Real Estate Review Committee on Thursday for about 70 acres of land that had been previously donated to Fort Smith Public Schools.
The Fort Chaffee Redevelopment Authority Real Estate Review Committee voted Thursday (April 25) to recommend selling land originally set aside for Fort Smith Public Schools to the Arkansas College for Health Education (ACHE).
The Arkansas Colleges of Health Education (ACHE) and real estate developer ERC Properties went head-to-head on Thursday (April 25) in hopes of purchasing a prime piece of land in the Chaffee Crossing area of Fort Smith.
The Arkansas Colleges of Health Education, which owns the Arkansas Osteopathic Medical College, and Chaffee Crossing residential developers ERC Create have both made offers on about 70 acres released by the school district last month.
